ABOUT ME
Hello, I'm Cheryl Donnelly.
Counsellor and psychotherapist, and founder of The Talk Therapy Project.
I believe therapy works best when you feel genuinely at ease. That's why I offer sessions in two ways: walking side by side through the green spaces around Sloane Square, or online from the comfort of your own home.
[Cheryl to add a few lines in her own words: what drew her to counselling, her background before training, and what she loves about this work.]

HOW I WORK
Professional, never clinical.
My approach is [integrative / person-centred], which means I tailor our work to you rather than fitting you into a single model.
Some clients want to understand where a pattern comes from. Others want practical ways to cope with what's happening right now. Most want a bit of both. Together we'll work out what's most helpful, and that can change as we go.
I work with adults from all walks of life, with a wide range of experiences and needs. Whatever you bring, you'll be met with warmth, honesty and no judgement.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM ME
The values behind every session.
Calm
A steady, unhurried space where you can slow down and breathe.
Confidential
What you share stays between us, within professional and legal limits I'll explain at the start.
Human
Real conversation, not a script. I'll be honest, warm and fully present with you.
At your pace
There's no right speed. We go where you're ready to go, and no further.
WHY WALK AND TALK?
Sometimes it's easier to talk when you're not face to face.
Walking side by side takes away some of the pressure of a therapy room. There's room for pauses, the rhythm of walking can help thoughts settle, and being outdoors brings its own sense of space. It's an approach I'm passionate about, and one many clients find surprisingly freeing.
